Right-of-way

Collisions are possible where roadways meet and intersect. It is important to know who should proceed and who should stop to prevent collisions. Right-of-way rules require one person to yield and allow the other to proceed. Signs, signals, and sometimes the position of your vehicle to other vehicles at an intersection determine the rules. However, even if you have the right- of-way, you are still responsible to do everything you can to prevent a collision.
