For driving schools and registry agents
Give your learners a study companion that costs them nothing
RoadPrep is a free study app for Alberta's Class 5 / 7 knowledge test and road test. It is built from the official Driver's Guide, every question cites its section, and it works offline. We're not asking you for money, exclusivity, or a contract — just a link.
Start today
Build your referral link
Build your link below and use it wherever you'd send someone — a QR code, a handout, an email footer. There is no sign-up and nothing to wait for; the first link you print is live.
https://roadprep.ca/welcome?ref=your-school-name
Type a name above to build your link. Lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, up to 64 characters — spaces and punctuation are converted for you.
Print this on a counter card or a poster. It points at the same link, so scans are credited the same way.
Download SVGUse the same link everywhere. The code is stored on a learner's account the first time they sign in, so someone who scans your poster today and signs up next month is still credited to you.
What that records: one short code on the accounts of people who signed up after following your link. It is stored once, at their first sign-in, and never changed afterwards. No third-party cookie, no analytics vendor, no profile of anyone's browsing — see the privacy page.
If you run a driving school
What your students get, at no cost to them
Something to hand every student on day one
Free, with no paywall and no ads. All 94 sections of the official 2026 Alberta Driver's Guide are covered by 508 questions, and every question cites the section it came from — so a student who gets one wrong can read the actual rule.
It covers the in-car half too
A road-test scoring sheet that mirrors the real one — 75 points is a fail — with 11 maneuvers, the 20 mistakes examiners deduct for, the 7 skills they evaluate and the 6 actions that fail a test outright. Deduction values are modelled, not official, and the app says so where it scores.
Study time that doesn't need your Wi-Fi
Sign in once and drills, the exam simulator (30 questions, pass at 25), the redo deck and the guide reader all work offline — in a car, in a parking lot, on a phone with no data.
You get the credit
Students who arrive through your link are recorded as yours, so referrals you make are attributable rather than a guess. Claim your tag on a partner account and the numbers are yours alone — counts and dates, never who a learner is.
If you're a registry agent
One link to display, nothing to administer
One link or QR code to display
Counter card, waiting-area poster, or the confirmation email after someone books a test. Nothing to install, nothing to administer, no account for your staff to hold.
It points people at the official material, not away from it
The landing page links the Driver's Guide on open.alberta.ca, alberta.ca's knowledge-test page and the registry-agent finder. RoadPrep is a study companion to the official guide, not a replacement for it.
Nothing you'd have to defend
Studying is free — the whole question bank, sign practice and road-test scoring, with no paywall in front of any of it. No ads, no analytics trackers, nothing about anyone sold. Content provenance is stated in full on the attributions page.
Measurable, if you want it to be
A code on your display link tells us the flyer worked. That is the whole of the tracking involved.
Before you recommend it
What this isn't
- We will never hand you a learner's data. You can see how a student is practising only if that student chooses to show you — they enter your code, and they can stop whenever they like, without asking us or telling you why. There is no roster we can sell you and no way to look someone up. Their study data is theirs. Get your instructor code, or claim your referral tag so its numbers are yours alone.
- No money moves between us. We don't pay for referrals, and we don't charge you for recommending RoadPrep or for being listed in the directory — every licensed school in the provincial register is in it either way. Being featured is a paid upgrade you can buy if you want it, and choosing not to costs you nothing and hides nothing. Studying is free for your learners, permanently — that isn't a trial and it isn't going to become a subscription.
- Nothing is exclusive. Recommending RoadPrep doesn't stop you recommending anything else, and there is nothing to sign.
- RoadPrep isn't an official channel and won't claim to be one on your behalf. Passing an exam simulation here is not a prediction of a real test result.
Optional, paid
The two things you could pay for
Neither is needed to recommend RoadPrep, and neither changes anything for your learners.
For driving instructors
CAD $10 a monthA seat lets you see how your students are practising — which questions they are getting wrong, what is on their redo list, and their road-test scores. Per instructor, cancel any time.
Students share with you by entering your code, and only then. Nothing is visible until they do, and they can stop whenever they like — that is not a setting you control, and a seat does not change it.
Get your instructor code →Feature your school
CAD $15 a monthEvery licensed school is already in the directory for free. This moves yours to the top of its city page and marks it in search results, and it includes one instructor seat. Cancel any time; you stay listed either way.
We only sell it where it can do something. In most Alberta towns the register lists one or two schools, so being first is being first among yourself — search for your school below and we'll tell you either way.
